For style, quality and comfort, Helston cords are unmatched in my view. I can also vouch that they offer excellent protectioin against exploding halogen bulbs . The bulb was fitted into an overhead reading light when it disintegrated violently. My original Helstons took the full force and suffered a lot of 'shrapnel damage' but luckily my legs (and other bits) didn't. The insurance settlement coincided with a two for one offer from Brook Taverner so I ended up with two new pairs and came out of it well - not that I would want a repeat experience!
